DONATE for the song book

Since 2015 the 'International Music Café' and the 'Woman's Music Group' sing together with refugees songs fromtheir home countries. Now we want to prepare 12 of the nicest songs to create a song book, so that even more people get to know the songs and are able to sing them themselves.

We write down the music, record the songs and native speakers sing the melodies. In addition there will be the phonetic spelling and the translations into German. To spread the songs, we will offer them free of charge to download on our homepage.

We expect the costs for the song book to be 5.000 Euro. Please donate here

The song book is part of our bigger project 'Komm sing mit mir'. (Come and sing with me)

Come sing with me

Singing together to be happy and feel connected - no matter where you come from. This is one of the reasons for the success of the two adult projects 'International Music Café' and 'Women's Music Group'. Just as manifold as the participants are the music and the lyrics, which they perform in and close to Lübeck. Everybody brings his or her own songs. In this way people get to know each other. Throughout the time more and more songs were collected. In numerous languages like German, Arabic, Kurdish, Farsi, Hindi, Armenic, Bosniac, Turkish, English, Spanish, Portuguese and others. And as everybody is happy to listen to 'his/her' songs and is able to join in, we are planning to perform two sing along concerts in the second half of 2020. Also there will be a digital song book. So we write down songs from the 'International Music Café' and the 'Women's Music Group' including the music and the translations. You will be able to find the songs here to be downloaded as pdf and mp3. In this way others will be enabled to sing these songs and spread them.

The ne project 'Come and sing with me' (Komm, sing mit mir!) is supported by 'Lübecker Integrationsfonds', 'Ministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Kultur Schleswig-Holstein' and 'Friedrich Bluhme - und Else Jebsen Stiftung'.
